North Carolina Zoo Proposal

Installation will likely utilize a similar strategy to that I've employed for several other tall sculptures.
The base is designed to be pegged through at a point where once the top is connected the weight remains
distributed to allow a gradual raising of the sculpture to an upright posture. This eliminates the need for craning up the
kinetic elements after the base is vertical. It does require that there be a straight path for the hoist to travel towards the
anchoring pad.
This means the siting of the sculpture would need to be more like that shown in the green box, rather than the red, so the
hoist could travel straight up the boardwalk to the installation pad.
