The Texas Two Step: Avian Edition

Moving right along. Having closed up the base I figured it was time to get weights on the major components
as they come together. 586 pounds for the base, and it looks like the toppers will come in at just under 200
pounds each for a total of 1000 lbs.
Early on in these pages I had a picture of the studio stage set for action, and below is that stage in action.
A triangular wood working base allowed me to tip the base down for sanding the surface of the base's
facets.
Once thaat was accomplished I called my friend Wayne Vaughn to come over with his boom truck so we could have a
trial assembly of the toppers to the base. I wanted to be sure we were as aligned and vertical in fact as well as theory.
And that test was passed with flying colors.
The birds are finally going on. Got to the halfway point today before some passing severe storms drove me inside
to post this update. With half the birds tacked on the wind was sneaking under the arched roof and putting them in
motion.
Till next time. - Mike
