The last few weeks have been all about creating the bearing settings for this sculpture.
I will admit that I have spent little time on pictures and a lot of time thinking through tis elaborate puzzle,
and standing at my lathe husbanding these many parts through the machining process.
As artists, we like the elements that provide big visual impact. Engineering requires a more humble satisfaction that,
while the creativity and energy is at least as intense, the beauty winds up hidden. But it's what makes the magic happen.
(and keep happening through time)
From here on out, my artist side is going to be very satisfied.
The heads await union with their bodies lying in the rain.
